This petition calls on the Portuguese Parliament to establish and enact a new animal protection law in Portugal – to be shaped as an Animal Protection Code – which should be modern, effective, progressive and fair, so that the Portuguese State ensures an adequate and strong legislative protection for the animals in this country.
